Entries and Winners - Christmas Face Paint Photo Contest 2015

WITH THE SOUND of jingle bells still ringing in our ears, and glitter sparkling in every crook and cranny, another frenetic season of face painting is all but over. Phew!

As we take a deep breath and prepare to dive into the Christmas/New Year's holidays, there's no better time to look back at some of the great Christmas-themed face painting designs of the season. Using a combination of professional quality face paints, one stroke cakes, stencils, sponges, and good old fashioned brush work, face painters all of the world have once again made Christmas that extra bit special for thousands of kids.

The most popular Christmas face painting designs feature the all-time favourites including Rudolph (and reindeers generally), mistletoe, Santa hats, snowmen, and more recently, the Grinch. In Australia, of course we have a slightly different take on Christmas face painting - after all it is summer and many of us have never experienced snow, least of all at Christmas time. It's great to see face painting that celebrates our uniqueness.

Of course, many of the 'classic' Christmas face paint designs will always be popular, but for every season staple, there's another creative face painter out there adding their own unique spin, or reinventing a design all together.

Whether you're a newbie, sort-of beginner or experienced pro, we salute you!
